Twenty2Six represents an innovative approach to engaging young people and underserved communities by creating an intimate connection with leaders in society through the creative interviewing talents of MacArthur Fellow, Aaron Dworkin. Often young people feel disconnected from those who have leadership roles in our country whether they be in politics, business, medicine, law, entertainment or other fields. Smart Talk helps to create an enriching educational while entertaining avenue through which our constituents are able to learn about and be inspired through the stories of those who have achieved success. Some interviews with well-known figures develop those leadership skills by opening up the mystery of their success through Aaron’s engaging and probing interview style which reveals the “human” side of how they reached their goals. Other interviews with “non-celebrity” figures help to define the millions who achieve success in life and leadership positions but do not garner “popular” attention. Through these interviews, Twenty2Six strives to create role models for young people and underserved communities in those who otherwise might not garner the spotlight, from academic, medical and legal leaders to business executives and others.
One of the most unique aspects to Twenty2Six is the medium of the Internet through which it translates its content. Through its creative use of the internet, Twenty2Six is able to reach young people through the source of much of their information, the web. Utilizing two camera shoots and innovative video directorial methods, the show creates an intimate setting designed to put the viewer in the room with the interviewee making the content shared more personal and relevant to our constituents.
